The Greatest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we begin to doubt ourselves, our whole world starts to fall apart. That's a pretty brave statement, but if we dive into the after-effects of what takes place when doubt crawls into our lives, it actually does happen. We can even take it a step further in regards to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it truly does trash everything or seems to put a total stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your full attention, working ethos, eagerness, integrity, and willingness to sacrifice a significant deal to achieve them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you're actually doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you hear a person talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to really happen notwithstanding massive amounts of uncertainty surrounding all of it. There's a built-in sense of belief that roots itself so deeply in that person that they can't probably be defeated. That's true and real faith.

But when you hear someone who is talking about their passions, and you get the way that they may be slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they'll never achieve what they set out to do. It's not you are rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in any way. So pour yourself into what you love and let doubt flee from your mind. Others may say it's not practicable but the impossible has been achieved many many times all through history.

Give it a go. Anything could happen.
