The Many Different Types Of Christ

By Barbara Collins

The thing about human beings is that they are capable of abstract thought. As such, they are to look up that night sky and see a sliver of the universe. They can wonder about their place in it. Which leads to them wondering if there was someone or something out there that created all of it, that put the pieces of the puzzle called creation together, or if someone created the pieces at all. There are so many ways to interpret such questions, which can lead to the many types of Christ.

Religion is a set of spiritual beliefs. It involves organized worship. It also involves a set of beliefs that people are generally expected to follow in their daily lives.

Christianity is the most sizable religion in the world. One third of the population is a believer in it. It can trace its genesis back to what the world now knows as the Middle East. It is an Abrahamic religion, meaning that is a relative of both Judaism and Islam.

Now, there are so many people worship, and so many reasons that their interpretations of the gospels they believe in all differ. Some people see their founder in many different ways, so many different points of view to look at one single person. This person is put on a pedestal, whether rightly so or not.

The title of Christ means the anointed one. This means that the individual with the title is seen as the chosen one, the one to redeem all the sins of man. Indeed, this is one of the central tenets of Christianity, that the crucified carpenter, in allowing the crucifixion to happen in the first place, that all the sins of humanity up to that point were then forgiven.

Which leads to the aspect of being the redeemer. Most religions show a higher power that brings forth thunder and lightning to bring about some retribution to those that commit sins. But the carpenter preached a message of redemption, of a supreme being who will forgive those who commit transgression against others.

There is also the aspect the king. Christians believe that their founder of their religion was the son of a higher power. To them, this makes the founder the king, not just in the whole world but possibly of the whole universe as a whole and even beyond that. This is disputed by followers of other religions, including Islam and Judaism, both of which have similar theological roots as Christianity.

Then the carpenter is seen also seen as a prophet, and maybe this is the most important part relating to the ministry. The message was always clear, and that message was always love. That was the root of that gospel and the root of that message overall.

Now, people are different from each other. While they are not all entirely unique, there is enough distinction that no two individuals are totally the same. Which is why even faith has many interpretations.
