Harare Church Members Need The Gospel Of Truth

By Katrina Wheeler

You probably remember that while Jesus was still on earth, He asked the disciples to go out to all nations and proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God. He mainly asked them to preach Good News to all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The main theme here, therefore, is to make Harare Church a center of true worship where the commission of Jesus is real.

It is not however easy to accomplish this mission without the church leader understanding their congregation in a better manner. Most people attending a place of worship actually have no time to listen to the modern Gospel. They want the real thing, the real teachings of Christ they were to hear from the beginning of time.

Building the body of Christ is actually not an easy task. Well, it seems that the days of Moses, Elijah and John the Baptist are over and for real they are. However, genuine leaders can still stand on their feet and preach the true gospel of Christ that will win souls, minds and lives to Christ. This does not only apply to Harare Church, but also to all the community places of worship that listens to the voice of Christ.

Most leaders forget that people are tired of empty promises, which do not even reflect in a single word in the Bible. When you promise people through prophesy that they will have good cars, build huge buildings and have a bright future yet they are struggling to look for jobs, it leaves one wondering whether they are in a church or some foreign world. The true word of God is actually losing meaning everyday.

People preaching to the congregation should give information that is true, motivational, inspirational and accurate. You see the Bible is not like any other book, it is the word of God in the making and should be properly utilized for the purpose for which it was created. Perhaps the servants of God who preach to people should revisit the quoting of Jesus on the great commission, as a reminder that they are to take up no other responsibility other than bringing souls to heaven.

Churches should act as centers of motivation, where people will learn and see Christ as their center of hope and ultimate blessings. When preachers talk about success in business, healing and prosperity in exchange for a prophetic offering, it leaves the weak congregation members who cannot offer money everyday with questions. They go home sad than they went to church.

The question would be that if Jesus himself offered everything of the Kingdom of God to humankind free, then it is scary how things have really changed to what no one ever expected. Everyone is struggling in life and people go to church on Sunday to find refuge in God. Preachers and other leaders should feed the congregation with the right spiritual food that will see them grow, not false promises and teachings in exchange of monetary value.

In summary, Harare Church leaders should know that people want to meet with Christ and get to know Him better. They are always looking for ways through which they can become closer to Christ and understand the word of God in a deeper way. They should therefore guide people in the right way so that in the end, the body of Christ not only expands but also growth strong.
