Hope Ives Mauran sites Providence in Rhodes Island as her place of birth before she moved to Hodson Valley in New York where she currently lives. She has three children. Her journey into the spiritual world began in the 1980s and was inspired by the words of Betty Eadie in the book Embraced By The Light. This was the book that opened her eyes to the possibility that life offers more than one can see.
Spiritual communication with her guides began in 1999 according to writings by Ives. The exercises allowed her to have intimate communication with God. This was unlike what was conventional at the time. The approach was to see the hand of God in the things that He created. This presented a new dimension in the approach to wisdom of the world through the eyes of God. It was a way of looking at the world in the way God expects us to do.
It is through the teachings, writing and art work that Hope demonstrates her attachment to nature. She has penned a number of books including Emotional Transformation, Be the Second Coming and Where Wisdom Lies. She views the spirit of a person as a unique internal landscape that defines our thoughts and actions. This has been captured in her drawings which reflect deep spiritual attachment. They show that there exists a deeper spirituality in the form of a landscape in each individual.
Mauran views the definition of the word environment as broader. It captures more than human beings have been able to visualize. There is an internal landscape in every person that defines his reactions and decisions in life. It is the source of spiritual strength or weakness. Using this idea of the internal landscape, it is possible to bring greater change on earth.
Hope has a background in forestry. This could be the source of her landscape idea in spirituality. She majored in forestry at University of New Hampshire and went on to found the Trees for Rye. This is an organization that dedicated its efforts to planting trees. She served as a member of Rye Conservation Commission. She is a renowned author and an avid reader.
One of the books that has propelled her to fame is Be the Second Coming that explores the intrinsic divinity in an individual. It contains exercises that reveal the oneness of the universe in the light of Christ Jesus. These exercises help a person to locate the interrelation between animals, structures and people and how they form one whole universal being. This perspective will help a person overcome limitations and fears in life.
Identifying the harmony in nature helps one to bring more change. Such a soul that recognizes this harmony is able to cause greater change. One feels relaxed as a result and has more power to reach greater heights. According to Hope, it is greed that has overtaken individual awareness on the existence of Christ. This has taken a lot of grace from humanity.
Hope Ives Mauran suggests exercises that will help individuals experience deeper relation with Christ. One has the power to live as Christ wanted. This experience is transformational.
