Classic Stories Of Hope And Inspiration

By Thomas Bennett

A story is powerful and its lessons are easy to understand. There are classic stories of hope and inspiration that can be told in different situations to encourage people to maintain a high spirit at all times. Take a look at these short narratives and the lessons they offer to reader or listeners.

Celebrate your moment and allow others to do the same. A boy was hyper happy commenting about trees that were traveling in the opposite direction while they were heading home with his father. The couple sited opposite was not impressed and instead recommended that he sees a doctor. Shock on their faces when the father informed them that the boy was coming from a surgery and was excited to see trees for the first time. People are quick to judge and bring down people. You have no idea what that moment or experience means to such a person.

Rise above the troubles that seek to bury you. When a donkey fell into a water well, the owner took a spade and decided to bury it. However, this donkey would shake its back for the soil to fall to its feet. It stepped on the soil until the well was filled. This story teaches a lesson of overcoming the challenges we are facing instead of succumbing.

A huge elephant tied to a weak string. An elephant was always tied to a tree with a huge rope. However, the rope was removed and a very weak string tied to the foot, yet the elephant remained on the spot. A passerby asked the trainer why the elephant could not move and he was informed that it was used to being tied with the rope that it did not recognize when a weak string was used. You can overcome your current situation but you are mentally tied to an old challenge. Break free and avoid the mental bondage.

Hot water hardening eggs while softening potatoes. When hot water boils an egg, it makes it hard. When the same hot water acts on a potato, it gets soft. The reaction you give to a challenge will determine how well you survive. One person will come out top from the same situation while another is beaten. Be positive when looking at different situations.

Folding a 100 dollar bill. A speaker took a 100 dollars bill and asked how much it was worth to an audience. Everyone could recognize it. He folded it and asked how much it was worth. The audience answered 100 dollars. He answered, no matter what you go through, your value never changes.

A bank account with 86,400 dollars. It would be exiting for anyone to get such a bank account. It gets better when you realize that this account is renewed on daily basis. Surprisingly, these are the seconds you get every morning. It is up to you to choose what to do with them and change your life.

You can also use the stories of people who have built empires after years of struggle or after overcoming some of the toughest situations. The message can apply to different situations and inspire a person who is seriously discouraged. Life becomes bearable and there is hope for a better tomorrow.
