There Doesn't Always Need To Be A Push For Positivity

By Evan Sanders

It's not always possible to be positive.

Being positive all of the time isn't realistic because life is incredibly balanced. Life gives us a dose of negative to really help us appreciate the positives.

As we continue to grow throughout life, we experience bigger and bigger challenges. Carl Jung, A famous psychologist once said, "The brighter the light the darker the shadow." This honestly couldn't be more true. As we experience the light more and more, it also gives us the capacity to experience the darkness. This is the balance of life.

Throughout my life and on the journey of all of this personal discovery, I have discovered what it truly means to be out in this world to help other people create lives that they can be passionate about and proud of.

If we are willing to pull lessons out of the hardest times of life, we are going to give ourselves the chance to continue to grow no matter the circumstances. But life isn't always going to be positive. In fact, you don't want it to be positive all of the time.

We are all challenged by life. We are all suffering in one way or another. We all face the same pains and emotional struggles. These are all things that make us alike. However, if we can continue to put our hearts on the line day after day, we give ourselves the chance to actually live life instead of being scared all the time.

So if you can, try to find something positive in the negative. But you don't have to fake that everything is okay and that you are okay. You don't have to pretend that everything is awesome and fun when it's not.

Throughout the years, I've been taught to express these things through my art and pour myself out through my writing and I'm so lucky to have that. So if you're struggling, just know, I struggle too.

Living this way is real. Living this way is truly honest.
